3:31PM. Hangover, of course. Amanecer con el atardecer, no está mal. Big trip. And... Calexico (Garden Ruin & Tool Box).
Being shamed is not unlike being in love. The blush resonates with the first flush of desire. It carries the uncertainty about oneself and about the object of love; the world is revealed anew and the skin feels raw. Shame makes us quiver." (E. Probyn, Blush).

"Pues eso mismo", sí, lovely-ly (not as good as your "darling-ling"!). Yep, actually I'm more than "just a little bit" drunk. Again?! I'm incidentally into bearded guys, always was! Pero no barba de barbudo, sino barba de cómo-me-gusta-cuando-te-dejas-barba-and-yes-I'm-staring-at-you-
like-this-cause-we're-both-messing-around. Cannot help but doing this! Es demasiado divertido. Kinda-House-like lifestyle. So what? Come-on. Just for a while. Not gonna be longer than this. I mean, not such a big risk! D. and I, well, we're OK with assemblages, "since each of us was several, there was already quite a crowd"... You sent her away because you've got to be miserable. ... You don't like yourself, but you do admire yourself. It's all you've got, so you cling to it. You're so afraid if you change, you'll lose what makes you special. Being miserable doesn't make you better than anyone else, House. It just make you miserable." Hete aquí a poor-Wilson descubriendo América. So what?

"Loss has made a tenous 'we' of us all. And if we have lost, then it follows that we have had, that we have desired and loved, that we have struggled to find the conditions for our desire. (...) Something takes hold of you: where does it come from? What sense does it make? What claims us at such moments, such that we are not the masters of ourselves? To what are we tied? And by what are we seized? (...) When we lose certain people, or when we are dispossessed from a place, or a community, we may simply feel that we are undergoing something temporary, that mourning will be over and some restoration of prior order will be achieved. But maybe when we undergo what we do, something about what we are is revealed, something that delineates the ties we have to others, that shows us that these ties constitute what we are, ties or bonds that compose us. (...) The attachement to “you” is part of what composes who “I” am. If I lose you, under these conditions, then I not only mourn the loss, but I become inscrutable to myself. Who 'am' I, without you? When we lose some of these ties by which we are constituted, we do not know who we are or what to do. On one level, I think I have lost 'you' only to discover that 'I' have gone missing as well. At another level, perhaps what I have lost 'in' you, that for which I have no ready vocabulary, is a relationality that is composed neither exclusively of myself nor you, but is to be conceived as the tie by which those terms are diferentiated and related. (...) Perhaps we can say that grief contains the possibility of apprehending a mode of dispossenssion that is fundamental to who I am. (...) For if I am confounded by you, then you are already of me, and I am nowhere without you. I cannot muster the 'we' except by finding the way in which I am tied to 'you', by trying to translate but finding that my own language must break up and yield if I am to know you. You are what I gain through this disorientation and loss. This is how the human comes into being, again and again, as that which we have yet to know.” (Judith Butler, Precarious life).

Clouds' summons

And then, here's the answer: "The imperatives that extend a space of our own are vitalizing forces that do not have the form of law but of portentous events." Clouds heading North. Winds comming up. "The vital space is made into a private space whose directions are projected simply out of our own will or longing when it is understood as the space in which we find our powers come into their own, the space in which we find our vitality sustained and harbored, find our sensibility over its extension and depth awakened, the space in which our body finds its integral mobilization. It is true that when we find ourselves in our vital space, we move in the conviction that our eyes now see that for which they were made to see (...). But our flesh is but malleable clay taking on the forms of the common world until it comes to hold itself together to the force of obedience of what summons it." Clouds heading West. Winds getting worse, blowing from afar. "It is because the summons to the space of our destiny weighs on us that we find the force to vitalize a sensibility for things others do not see or hear or feel, that we find the force to produce artist fingers, distant vision, the militant vehemence that churns the wells of our emotions, and the reverence that is a reverence of the body and not only of words. It is because we expose ourselves, in our walkabout, to the portents and necessities that press upon us with the dawn of the day, to the visions that obsess the nights of our own desert, that we become someone on his or her own...." (A. Lingins, The Imperative).

"Blame it on the boogie"????? "It is safe to walk with me, where you can read the sky and stars, safe to walk upon the sea, in my sleep we can go far....." Further on, far enough to disappear... Que no, que no, quita. He's now showing up in her dreams... Too much.
And guess what? The cripple cute irresponsible golden guy is coming around... Lucky me! 24 capítulos seguidos. Supera eso. Uh-uhu!
So: a couple of days off, at last! I couldn't stand it any longer... Vetusta drives me crazy from time to time. And so there! No way man, I was really pissed off. Row-row-row. Chuf! Falling down. And so forth and so on. "What about people, then?"..... Got me!

3:21PM. ¡Cómo estamos! ...
Fin del plazo para presentar alegaciones. Asunto resuelto. (Bueno, y con la ayudita de Chris Martin: hoy he batido mi propia marca, 35 veces "In my place"....
Who really cares about life, anyway?

miércoles, 19 de noviembre de 2008

Semana y media de absurda disonancia cognitiva. Grrr.

The path back to you

Tirita la noche en el horizonte deshecho, tus ojos, heartily wish you were here.
"To recognise a person is to recognise a typical way of addressing tasks, of envisaging landscapes, of advancing hesitantly and cautiously or ironically, or playing exuberantly down the paths to us. Someone we know is someone we relate to posturally, someone we walk in step with (...) and with whom we take a comprosing position as we talk." (A. Lingis, The Imperative).
